Through The Eyes Of A Waitress #1: Toast & Jam

I still remember the same regular customers who would order the same thing over the past few days.

The auntie with that thick mascara, flawless long hair, and face as pale as snow white.
The 2 uncles. One was fat and he had that sleepy-look on his face. The other was a heavy smoker.
But, they sounded really educated. By the way they speak and debated about what was on the newspaper.

These 3 would turn up almost everyday, without fail. And they would order the same thing on the menu.
Same dish. Same drink.

And each of them had a distinct type of taste.
Flat white cappucino for the aunty, and 2 ice coffee for the 2 uncles. Accompanied with unlimited refill of ice water.
And they would order the same dish to share among the 3 of them. Toast & Jam.

3 pieces of cut butter. 2 toothpastes of peanut butter (the peanut butter comes in a container which looks like a toothpaste).

My colleagues know them very well, of course. For they have been eating there for 3 years!!

3 years?!
The same dish, and the same drink for 3 years?!

Don't they ever feel "jelat" eating and drinking the same thing?

How do they get all those money to spent on these expensive food?

Don't they have to work?

Sometimes, I wish I could have the guts to ask them those questions.
