Chopsticks

Remember that time when I wanted to do 'chopsticks' as my subject for Culture Performance assignment??
And you must have been wondering, what does chopsticks has to do with art. Is chopsticks an art?

Of course to me, it is. Though, chopsticks has been used since during the late Shang Dynasty in China, countries such as Japan, Taiwan, Vietnam and Korea are using chopsticks too. If chopsticks is not an art, than what is? It is globally used, even in the US!

And did you know, 80% of people who are using chopsticks, are using it the wrong way.

Wrong
Correct
Of course, is not that we really bother, because chopsticks are just utensils to help us put food in our mouth, right? As long as we are able to get something into our mouth, it's okay, right?

But, you are WRONG. Chopsticks represents people. We tend to forget and neglect the old customs and traditions in the family as we grow older. Our future children would not be be able to practice the same exact traditions like we do today. Soon, old traditions will be forgotten.

Just like chopsticks, we neglect and forget the old ways of holding a pair of chopstick. Soon enough, our children will be doing the same thing too.

What would people be using if chopsticks weren't invented in the first place?
Sometimes, I wonder.
