As Elaine open up her eyes, she took a deep breathe. She took a last look at her room before closing the door behind her, closing the memories that she had spent at Singapore.
"Can you hurry up?! The plane is going to take off in 1hours time!"
"Coming la."
Her mother rushed her out from the house. She didn't care whether she'll miss the plane a not. As she took a last glance at the house before being shooed out from the house. Elaine opened the car door, but she didn't entered the driver seat just yet.
Demetri...
Thoughts of him ran across her mind. She quickly entered the car, put it into gear and zoomed off, leaving her mother chasing and running behind the car like a crazy mad women. Elaine pulled up in front of Demetri's house. She got down from the car, as she slowly walk up onto the front door.
She rang the doorbell. No one answered. Elaine rang the doorbell again, this time twice. Someone was shouting from inside.
"Coming!"
The door opened and was greeted by a women in her late 50's. It was Demetri's mother.
"...hi aunty," Elaine smiled at her.
"Elaine? OH! ELAINE! It's so nice to see you again. Come in, come in. You haven't been visiting lately." Demetri's mother insisted.
"Oh, sorry aunty, I was busy lately. I just dropped by to see if Demetri is in to say goodbye before I leave."
"Ah Low arh? He went out to buy something. He say it was an emergency. Why? Leaving? Leaving to where?!"
"I'm going back to Malaysia aunty. Didn't Demetri told you?"
"Why.....no, he didn't say a single thing about you since after he came back from the graduation party night," she looked surprised.
"Oh, I see," Elaine look down on the floor disappointed and continued,"Aunty, I shall be going now or I'll be late for my flight. Please tell Demetri I'm leaving for Malaysia. Aunty, please take care of yourself and also Demetri." As she gave Demetri's mother a big hug.
Demetri's mother patted her back."You too, Elaine. You're such a nice girl. Come back sometime to visit us. I bet Demetri would love it." She smiled.
"Yes I will." As she climbed back in the car and drove off. She drove back to her house to pick up her mother, who was sitting at the side of the walkaway.She felt guilty for leaving her behind earlier.
Elaine's mother was about to shout at her when she opened the passengers door but changed her mind when she notices that Elaine was about to cry and didn't say a word throughout the journey to the airport.

The front door slammed before Demetri's mother could say anything. She just shook her head and smiled.

"Where is the thing...Where is that bottle I buried," Demetri kept digging and patting. Drops of sweat dropped onto the ground as he continued digging.
The clock on his watch strike 4 as the alarm on his watch sounded.
Argh! Please don't do this to me. I need to see her for one last time, please...
The alarm sounded one last time before everything went into a silence.

He could not wait any longer. Time was ticking against the clock. He grabbed his bike and cycle towards the airport. Each heartbeat counted down each second. Demetri cycled faster and faster.

A massive traffic jam was blocking her way to the airport.
"What's going on?" Elaine's mother grumbled and kept looking at her watch.
A traffic officer was directing the traffic. Elaine managed to get through the traffic and reached the airport just in time before the Flight took off. She was waiting for her turn to pass the security counter to enter her flight.

The information counter lady reported.
"It was time, huh? It felt like it was just yesterday when I first met you in high school," Elaine murmured to herself.
There was 2 ladies talking at the back of her, talking about the accident which happened near the airport.
"Just now arh...got a massive traffic jam...never see such heavy jam before..."
"Yea...pity the poor boy...I wonder why he was cycling at a highway like this to the airport, can't he use public transport which is much easier...?"
"Aiyoh...you think people like you so rich meh, take public transport? Sheesh...wonder how is the poor boy's condition ?"
Elaine listened quietly as the 2 ladies kept on talking about the accident.
"Your passport please, Ma'am."

Demetri was knocked down by a car. He layed unconscious on the floor, he was bleeding on his leg, arm and face.
He woke up and found himself in a very bright place. Everything was white.

A figure slowly appeared before him. The figure look familiar to him. It was a man, he was smiling at him.
"Ah...Ah Pa?" Demetri asked in surprised.
"Yes, Ah Low, it's me, Ah Pa." He smiled and continued,"You've grown so much since I last saw you. I'm so proud of you. No more have to be said. Go and and find her before it's too late. And remember, I will always be with you in your heart and guide you through the way. Believe in yourself." As the figure slowly disappeared followed by a hysterical laughed.
Demetri suddenly woke up and found himself surrounded by many people. He slowly stood up and almost scared the hell out of the crowds.
The crowd started whispering...
"...Oh my Gosh! He's alive...I thought he was dead..."
"...Am I dreaming or what...I just saw him being knocked down by a car and now he's still standing...it's a miracle!!..."
"...What the hell! This is so cool! I want to be strong like him, Dad!!!...."
"...you gotta be kidding me...."
The whispering grew louder and louder. Demetri was confused about his whereabouts. He head was spinning, the images around him was playing tricks of him. His body was weak.

He suddenly remembered. Demetri wasted no time as he ran into the airport and into the taking off plane field. He tried and avoided the security guards.
I must see her one last time before she leaves...

"Mommy! Look! There is a man in red running towards our plane! And many security officers running behind him!" A young child cried behind Elaine's back seat as he pointed out at the window.

Passengers started looking out onto the right side of the window and staring at the man.
Elaine look out into hers. She saw a helpless man running towards her plane, his face felt so familiar to her. It appears that he was injured...The man was...
"Demetri!" Elaine screamed and caught the passengers attention. She unbuckled her belt and ran out of the plane. And she ran directly into Demetri's arms and both of them fell onto the field. Tears kept flowing out from her eyes.
"I thought you wouldn't come to say goodbye,"cried Elaine.
"You, silly girl. How can I bare to leave you without saying goodbye."
Demetri haven't forgot about his injuries. It hurt so much like it hurt his heart to be parted with Elaine.

As the security guards and Elaine's mother and the stewardess pulled them apart from each other. Elaine and Demetri lost their grasp on each others hand as they were being parted from each other for the first time.
Demetri took one last look at her and blacked out and was dragged back inside the airport by the security guards.
Elaine cried, she couldn't bare to see Demetri's injuries as the air stewardess struggle to help her buckle her safety belt and the plane took off.

The coffin was slowly lifted and carried out from the living room. Family and relatives slowly followed closely behind.
"Rest In Peace...,"Elaine murmured.
A warm firm hand reach out and held her hands. She turned and smiled.
"Come dear, let's go."

Encik Gan announce during the Monday assembly that a camera man will be filming at our school. After recess, all the morning session students were gather at the Arena Wira. Everyone was excited...except for some students including me. They want to take a shoot at us cheering the school's cheer.

Aiyoh, they put the camera in front of me, what you want me to do...look like I wanted to die and disgrace the school image? So...just put on a fake smile and carry on cheering like an IDIOTIC lady.

Skip St.John meeting....for the first time. Sorry! My bad la...T.T...I couldn't find my St.John pants leh...I last night find untill 3am then wake up 7am and find again untill 8am (8am meeting start). Then, I see the clock, 8am liao...ask my mom go back to sleep I also go back to sleep.
Wake up 12noon, try finding my pants again. I almost turn the house upside down to find leh...
Conclusion : 1. Some burglars stole my pants while I hang it up to dry, 2. A stray dog pulled down my pants while it was out to dry and drag it to somewhere I dunno

Nicholas + Wee Ching send me an sms regarding about "The Cycle And Walk Event" At Taman Desa Park at 7am-11am. It was compulsary for me to go coz next year we'll be the one prepared for any First Aid Duty.
Woke up 6am, wear Full-Uniform (including head gear). Su Wei's pants was comfortable then my old one. Come to think of it, this means that, Su Wei is...fat?LOL!!NO OFFENCE!!! Was just thinking logically!!!
I was the first one to arrive, it was raining this morning since I woke up. The event was delayed due to the rain. Help Jason carry the first aid kit. The rain stopped at around 9am. 7am-9am we were doing nothing at the pondok..zzz, only chit chatted.
Jason, Nicholas, Wee Ching, Rita, A boy (4got this name...X_X), Me And Lydia (who overslept and came at 8.30am...zzz) came for the Duty. Slyvester and a girl (4got her name also...X_X) didn't turn up. HOW ''RESPONSIBLE'' OF THE BOTH OF THEM TO NOT COME. SAY CAN COME THEN AT THE END DIN COME. HOW "NICE" OF BOTH OF U.
But luckily not many first aider were needed. If it did, Jason and all of us will be hunting you down next day in school.

So far, there weren't any injuries during the event but got 1 girl sprank her ankle, Jason & Nicholas did the bandaging. I was team up in home-based(with stratcher) with a boy. We didn't talk.lol....-.-ll, so 5 minutes later, the whole gang came back...lol...so fast.
Then, we help the people carry things to the wet field. Then they provide us free food. Yeah! Then they keep thanking us and will give us certificates!YEAH!! And many craps more of thanking us la...

Nicholas + Wee Ching send me an sms regarding about "The Cycle And Walk Event" At Taman Desa Park at 7am-11am. It was compulsary for me to go coz next year we'll be the one prepared for any First Aid Duty.
Woke up 6am, wear Full-Uniform (including head gear). Su Wei's pants was comfortable then my old one. Come to think of it, this means that, Su Wei is...fat?LOL!!NO OFFENCE!!! Was just thinking logically!!!
I was the first one to arrive, it was raining this morning since I woke up. The event was delayed due to the rain. Help Jason carry the first aid kit. The rain stopped at around 9am. 7am-9am we were doing nothing at the pondok..zzz, only chit chatted.
Jason, Nicholas, Wee Ching, Rita, A boy (4got this name...X_X), Me And Lydia (who overslept and came at 8.30am...zzz) came for the Duty. Slyvester and a girl (4got her name also...X_X) didn't turn up. HOW ''RESPONSIBLE'' OF THE BOTH OF THEM TO NOT COME. SAY CAN COME THEN AT THE END DIN COME. HOW "NICE" OF BOTH OF U.
But luckily not many first aider were needed. If it did, Jason and all of us will be hunting you down next day in school.

So far, there weren't any injuries during the event but got 1 girl sprank her ankle, Jason & Nicholas did the bandaging. I was team up in home-based(with stratcher) with a boy. We didn't talk.lol....-.-ll, so 5 minutes later, the whole gang came back...lol...so fast.
Then, we help the people carry things to the wet field. Then they provide us free food. Yeah! Then they keep thanking us and will give us certificates!YEAH!! And many craps more of thanking us la...

She rushed down from the stairs and picked up her handphone. Pieces of the handphone had already broken. She tried on-ing it back, what appear on the screen was a picture of a toad...and then the screen turned black...

He lay awake in his bed in the darkness of his room. Demetri look at his handphone which was laying beside him in bed.
He tried calling her phone many times but it seems it can't get through. He took his handphone and beginning to search 'notprettyenuf85' and try calling her 1 last time, but suddenly something make him change his mind. It's time I change her name already, he thought. He was going to click the 'Edit' button when his handphone suddenly stop functioning.
"Stupid phone." He begin opening the cover to check the battery. He took out the battery when suddenly his handphone went back on. He was shock.
Oh my gosh...I must be dreaming...
Suddenly a toad appear at his screen. Slowly, another toad, which looks like a female, appear beside the toad but quickly disappears before the phone screen goes dead again.
Demetri was in deep shock and kept staring at his phone.
Suddenly the door burst open, which make Demetri jumped from his bed. Demetri's mother came rushing into the room and hug Demetri.
"AH LOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!! Just now I dreamed of your Ah Pa! You know what he told me?! He say that you'll get married someday and he told me he still loves me," Demetri's mother shriek.
"A..h...M...a...h...AH MAH!!! I.........can't....breath...," Demetri gasped for air, his face started turning pale.
"AIYAH! Sorry Ah Low," she released her grasp,"...Mommy too happy liao...I go back sleep. You don't stay up so late arh. Good-night darling."
As she gave a good-night kiss on his cheek and skipped out from his room happily. Demetri started gasping for air. He could hear his mother singing at the next room.
"Ah Pa?" He look at his phone, puzzled.
Demetri tried getting through Elaine's phone. Each time he makes a call, he was hoping she would pick up the phone. But sadly, each call he made was a failure. He tried dropping by at Elaine's house but it seems that no one was home for the whole 5 days straight.
Elaine on the other hand, her mother kept her busy all week long. She was always away from home. She would walk past Demetri's house frequently, hoping to see him. But, it seems that he's not always at home.

It was the day they finally graduated from college. Although 6 years pass just like a blink of an eye, they both stick together like brothers & sisters. Through bad times, and good times. They entered the same university and even same college.
After the party, they both spend some quiet time together. The night was peaceful and quiet. Crickets were making never ending noises through the night as if they were singing. The full moon was shining so brightly that lights weren't needed to be on.
"It's been 6 years now. Since we met."
"Yeah...,"said Demetri. "So any plans after college?"
Elaine didn't answer.
"Why so quiet,"Demetri ask feeling puzzle.
"I...will never see you again...,"Elaine look away.
Demetri was shock and speechless for a moment. Elaine got up and begin walking away. Demetri grab her arm.
"What you mean we won't be seeing each other again? You mean you're moving away?"
Elaine slowly turn her head to meet Demetri's eyes. There were tears foaming at Elaine's eyes that remind Demetri of the incident occur 6 years ago at the park. He let go of her.
"I'm moving back to Malaysia...my flight is not untill next week...,"Elaine said and wipe the tears away from her face. "This will give me some time to pack my stuff..."
Demetri was silent the whole time.
"But why? Why not stay here in Singapore? Why not stay here together with me?"
"You don't understand Demetri...I'm engaged to some guy I don't even know...I DON'T KNOW! IT'S MY PARENTS CHOICE!!"
The next thing he knew. Elaine burst into tears.
"Elaine...if you don't love that guy, you don't have to force yourself to married him although it's your parents choice..."Demetri wanted to comfort Elaine but she moved away from him.

Something caught her eyes, at the ground beside her, was an object sticking out of the ground. Elaine stopped crying. It seems it was purposely buried like this so that it can catch someone's attention.
Elaine begin digging the object out from the ground. She opened the object wrap with tissue paper, the tissue paper was torn and dirty. Inside was a small bottle. She opened the bottle cap and took out a small folded old letter inside. She begin reading it.

I was in total surprise. Why he say that for?
"It's getting late. Lets go."
As he got up, held my hand and walk back towards the bike. He didn't look back. I turned and took a last glance at the beautiful deserted park before I hop onto the bike.
I feel kinda different today. What was that feeling? Was it the same feeling when her internet boyfriend ask her to be his girlfriend? No. I think it was right there, at the park, wherer I felt for the first time, that I'm in love.
Demetri send me home. Before I went into the house, I gave him a charm. It was a bottle with a small written note inside filled with glitters and beach sand.
"Here, this is for you. I make it myself." I smiled.
"Of course you make it yourself. No one else can make a charm as ugly as this," He grinned.
"Hmph!" I turned around and stomped back into my house.

"Hm...let's see, I shall bring you to the most delicious food restaurant that you've ever eaten in Singapore!"

"Wow! I'm bloated! That's the most tastiest food I've ever eaten since ages! So, where to next?"
"Hm..." He thought deeply for a moment."Ahh! There was one place I wanted to visit for a very long time. Lets go."
Not long, when they arrived to a deserted park. Demetri halt the bike to a stop.
It was a deserted park. The grass was overgrown, the swings and see-saws were old, rusty and haven't been used for a long time. Surrounding the park were all trees. The most interesting part was an big old tree which stood in between the park. Flowers blooming so beautifully on the ground. Although the place was old and eerie, the feeling of peacefulness can be felt throughout the area.
Demetri got down from his bike and walk towards to the big tree. Why would he want to come to a deserted place like this? She followed him closely behind.
Demetri sat under the big tree, leaning against the tree. Elaine did the same thing.
It was so peaceful.
"My father use to bring me to this park when I was young."
Elaine listened in silent.
"He would always tell me stories about himself under this big tree, where we would spend most of our time here."

He took something out from his pocket. It was an object wrap in tissue paper. He dug a small hole and buried the object.
"C'mon. Lets go"
He got up and begin walking back towards his bike. Elaine got up too and walk slowly behind him when he suddenly stops, almost bumping into him.
"Elaine, I always want to feel how's it like to have a sister. I always treated you like my own sister."
He turned around and smile.
The smile. It wasn't the cheerful smile Elaine use to see before. Hiding beneath the smile was bitterness. Bitter cold bitterness that took away all of her feelings and reminds her loneliness. Her internet boyfriend hasn't been sending messages to her since the day she arrived Singapore.
"Elaine, all I want to ask you. Can you be my little sister?"
A gust of strong wind blew. Demetri caught at her corner of her eyes, were tears flowing out. A thousand spears stab him trough his heart. He haven't saw a girl cry before. The last time he saw a girl cried was at his father's funeral where he comforted his mom.
Elaine begin rubbing her eyes. Demetri walk closer towards Elaine. He knelled down and hug her.

Elaine shouted downstairs. As she carefully tied her hair to the back with a purple ribbon. Well dressed with a light purple dress.
As she ran downstairs and ran straight for the door.
"Good morning my princess. Shall I pick you up from your castle?"
As he gave a gentleman bow in front of her. She giggle and gave a light punch on his arm. She closes the door behind her.
"So, ugly toad. Where are we going?" As they both walk towards to his bike.
"Hm...let's see, I shall bring you to the most delicious food restaurant that you've ever eaten in Singapore!"
After the meal...
"Wow! I'm bloated! That's the most tastiest food I've ever eaten since ages! So, where to next?"
"Hm..." He thought deeply for a moment."Ahh! There was one place I wanted to visit for a very long time. Lets go."
Not long, when they arrived to a deserted park. Demetri halt the bike to a stop.
It was a deserted park. The grass was overgrown, the swings and see-saws were old, rusty and haven't been used for a long time. Surrounding the park were all trees. The most interesting part was an big old tree which stood in between the park. Flowers blooming so beautifully on the ground. Although the place was old and eerie, the feeling of peacefulness can be felt throughout the area.
Demetri got down from his bike and walk towards to the big tree. Why would he want to come to a deserted place like this? She followed him closely behind.
Demetri sat under the big tree, leaning against the tree. Elaine did the same thing.
It was so peaceful.
"My father use to bring me to this park when I was young."
Elaine listened in silent.
"He would always tell me stories about himself under this big tree, where we would spend most of our time here."
He close his eyes and drew a deep breath before continuing.
"Sadly enough, he left us from this world too soon..."
"I'm sorry to hear that, Deme..."
"NAH! That's okay! Haha!"
He tried to give a cheerful smile.
"Today is my father's birthday...just wanted to visit this place for the last time..."

Demetri found himself covered with water. A bucket rolled across the floor. He slowly turned around and saw Mr. Tan glaring at him in folded arms. The whole class burst out laughing.
Demetri bow at him. "Sorry Mr.Tan." And receive a knock on his head.
Elaine started giggling.
"Ha-ha....very funny," as he look at her giggling away.
Elaine handed him a tissue.
"Thanks."
"No problem." She gave him a smile.
He looked away from her. That was the sweetest smile he ever saw from a girl.
School ended early as they thought it would.
ACHOO!!!
"Ai yoh, Ah Low! Didn't I tell you not to play in the rain?! Go and take a shower, you're such a naughty boy arh. Don't stay up late again if not I take your handphone away."
"Yes, Ma. I promise I won't stay up late again."
He rested on his bed. He's too tired to think of anything else as he fell into a deep slumber.
Next morning,
"Ah Low, you're late again! Wake up right now!"
"Ma....I think I can't go to school today. I don't feel well....ACHOO!!"
"Not feeling WELL?!" She barged right into Demetri's room and feel his forehead. It was a high fever. " You don't go school today, go rest, go rest. Mommy will go see the pharmacy and buy medicine for you." As she tucked Demetri in bed and left the room.
Demetri climbed out of bed to go to the bathroom. His whole body was so weak he hardly can walk straight. He climbed back into bed and look out at the window.
"I guess I won't be seeing you today,eh ?"
Demetri spend his whole day in bed reading and sleeping. He was bored...VERY BORED.
Evening came, Demetri thought what Elaine would be doing by now.

There was a knock on his door. "Ah Low, you got a visitor. A friend of yours in school."
Friend? I don't remember I have a friend who last visited me when I was absent from school.
"Come in then."
The door slowly opened and a figure stood at the door. Demetri looked up from his book. It was Elaine. Elaine gave him a wide smile, ran into his room and hop into his bed like a little kid would do.
"Hello TOADY!!! How is you fever?!" As Elaine gave him a big hug.
"Argh! *Cough *Cough...I'm fine la...and can you stop hugging me? Coz I can't breath...!!!!"
"Oh! Sorry. Haha! Oh, yeah! Here! Your notes for today."
Demetri took the notes from her and look through it.
"You so nice loh. Today you didn't go to school then tomorrow Saturday also no school. *Sigh*"
"Do you ever want to feel how's it like in bed when you're sick when you can go out and being so carefree? Sheesh" As he put the notes on his side table.
"Hey, wanna go out tomorrow? My treat."
"Aren't you suppose to stay home and revise for today's lesson?"
"Nah...I can do that tomorrow. So? Yes or no? Don't want then fine loh."
"Well, I think I can go since my parents won't be home the whole afternoon. OKAYZ!!!" She smiled.
"Ok. So I'll pick you up at your house at around 12noon?
"Fine with me. Hey, can I have your contact number? So that I can contact you if I have any problem."
Demetri thought for awhile. I can't let her know that I'm obscene92.
"Hello? Mr. ugly toad...I ask can I have your contact number or your handphone number or any whoever number"
He got back to his sense. "Erm...I don't have a handphone but would you like my house phone number. Give me yours too." And shot back a smile.
"Okies!"
After they exchange phone numbers, Elaine went home.
Demetri's mother came in and touch his forehead.
"Wah...Ah Low recover so fast liao arh? See girlfriend liao then recover so fast? Not bad arh, next time Mommy no need buy medicine liao. Haha!"
"Ma...she's not my..."
"Ai yah...Mommy know la...no need tell, okay? I go wash the plates, you go rest." As she walk out from the room leaving Demetri in the room speechless.
As Demetri lie on the bed, thinking through today's activity.
Thought I would stand here in the darkness feeling all alone, but it was you who brought me out from it and showing me the brightness of the world.

As I stare at the ceiling. Thoughts of her ran through my mind. It started drizzling. I look out from the window.
"It's been so long,huh? I finally get to see you."
As I closed my eyes and fell into a deep slumber.
"Ah Low, wake up la. If not you'll be late for school. What did you do wor stay up late last night."
Demetri slowly opened up his eyes and look at his bedside clock. IT WAS 7.30am!!! HE WAS LATE!!! He ran into the bathroom and quickly changed.

"Mommy busy la, son. Go take it yourself." Her mother shouted from the kitchen.

Rain drops started dropping down and soon it started raining heavily.
"Oh, no. Don't do this to me! Please, please, please!"
He look at his watch.The time on his watch was 7.43am. He notice a phone booth and cycle towards it. He took shelter from there.
As he watched the rain pouring onto the streets. Everywhere was rain!
"I hate rain!" He bang his fist onto the phone receiver.
"Hello, sir. Can I come in?"
He didn't take a good look at her. And simply answered with a toned of frustration ,"Yes, yes. Come in."
"Oh, it's you ugly toad. Late for school also, eh?"
"Of all the people why do I have to be stuck with you." He gave out a groan.
"Because, I didn't want to. Hehe...maybe it's fate?! Hehe..."
There was a troubling noise. It seems it came from his stomach.

"You didn't eat anything, eh ugly toad?"
"Yea..."
Elaine took a sandwich out from her bag. And handed 1 to him.
"Take it. I'll treat you for saving me yesterday."
"Hm..." He started thinking.
